Abstract: Backport 18677735 to SOLARIS_11U2 ISC DHCP needs option to ignore client UID
*** 04/29/13 07:24 am ***
Customer using 2 x VMs, on OVM x86 3.2.1.
AI server is solaris 11.1.
The client PXE boots, but fails to plumb in the primary interface so the install fails with: Could not obtain address of AI server from DHCP server
Several services then go into maintenance,
manifest-locator svc:/network/dns/multicast:default svc:/system/fcoe_initiator:default

The workaround is to add static addresses for each clients MAC address in the servers dhcpd.conf file.
For example:
host UNIQUE_NAME {
  hardware ethernet 00:10:e0:40:00:72;
  fixed-address 192.168.100.200;
}

Then refresh and restart the dhcp service.
